The Lambdatrail 3 is a compact, modular and flexible multi-channel transponder. The idea of modularity consistently implemented, the standard 10 module slots can be equipped with different port modules. Each individually programmable and with different speeds if required, the Lambdatrail 3 meets the most versatile requirements.
What's more, by simply changing the port module, future applications can also be realised without having to change the chassis. The port modules each have a client/line transceiver slot and are equipped with SFP, SFP+ or SFP28 (port module dependent).
Depending on the port module, speeds of up to 32 G are possible. The Lambdatrail 3 is characterised by uncomplicated installation and configuration, as well as the simplest expandability in just a few steps. Port modules, transceivers, fans and power supplies can be replaced or added individually and during operation.
System availability increases considerably, while costs for spare parts and maintenance are reduced. The redundant AC or DC power supply, in any combination, provides additional security for a highly available network. Multiple management access and alarming options ensure a quick overview of the configuration and "health status" of the Lambdatrail 3.
It also facilitates integration into existing management environments. Optionally, remote management via OSC can also be realised. The combination of the Lambdatrail 3 with the passive Lambdaway xWDM multiplexers enables point-to-point, point-to-multipoint, two-fibre and full-duplex single-fibre connections. The Lambdatrail 3 is manufactured in Switzerland.
